Volkswagen Golf Wrench Light Reset Procedure for Model Years 1990-2015:

2008-2015:

1. Turn the key into the ON position
2. Select the “Settings” menu with the controls located on either the windshield wiper arm or the steering wheel
3. Select the “Service” submenu and then select the “Reset” option and then press the OK button to reset the display
4. Press the OK button once more to confirm

OR

1. With the ignition switched OFF, press and hold the 0.0/ SET button (located on the right side of the instrument cluster)
2. While holding down, turn the ignition to the ON position
3. Release the button and briefly press the button for setting the CLOCK (located on the left side of the instrument cluster) once
4. After a brief period, the display will switch back to the normal display indicating the service interval is reset

1993-2007

1. Turn the key into the ON position
2. Press and hold the TRIP RESET button
3. While holding the button, turn the key to the OFF position and then release the button
4. The display will show “OEL”
5. Press and hold the MINUTE RESET (lower button beside the clock) until “——” appears
6. Then press the TRIP RESET button once to display “IN01”
7. Repeat step #4 to reset the 6mo reminder
8. Then press the TRIP RESET button once to display “IN02”
9. Repeat step #4 to reset the 12mo reminder
10. Turn key to ON position and then back to OFF and the reset is complete

1990-1992

1. Volkswagen requires the use of a scan tool to reset the maintenance light
