How To Reset XJ Oil Service Light for years 2003 through 2015:

2008-2015

1. Jaguar requires the use of a scan tool to clear maintenance light

2003-2009

* To reset the service interval indicator, the following steps must be carried out within 3 seconds of each other

1. With the vehicle in OFF position press and hold the CLEAR/RESET button and turn the vehicle to ON position (for push to start, press the start button with foot off of brake)
2. Release the CLEAR/RESET button, then press and hold the TRIP button
3. While holding the TRIP button, press and hold the CLEAR/RESET button again
4. Continue holding both buttons for 10 seconds
5. When the process is successful, the message center will display “RESETTING SERVICE” and then display “SERVICE RESET”
6. Release both buttons, turn the vehicle to OFF position, and back on to confirm reset successful
