How to Reset Volvo XC60, XC70, and XC90 Service Light After Oil Change

Reset Volvo XC60, XC70, and XC90 Service Light:

Here are all the procedures for every year Volvo XC series to reset the service light. The XC model is Volvo’s SUV line and is widely popular. When the service light comes on, that means it is time for an oil change and what ever other mileage services you are due for. After the service, you will need to manually reset the service light by following these steps below.

2014-2015 (XC60 & XC70)

1. Turn the ignition switch to position I (ACC)
2. Press and hold the OK button on the turn signal arm
3. Continue to hold OK button and turn the ignition switch to position II (RUN)
4. Wait about 10 seconds and release the button once the information light begins to flash
5. Turn the ignition switch back to the OFF position for 3 minutes and then restart to confirm reset is completed

2002-2015 (ALL):

1. Turn ignition switch to position I (ACC)
2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button
3. Turn ignition switch to position II (RUN) within 2 seconds
4. Hold reset button until original trip counter value blinks and is redisplayed (For all vehicles 2003- a general yellow lamp will light when the reset button must be released)
5. Release the button within 4 seconds after it begins to flash
6. There will be an audible signal when the reset is successful

OR w/ Push Start

1. Turn ignition switch to position I (ACC)
2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button
3. Turn ignition switch to position II (RUN) within 2 seconds
4. Hold reset button until original trip counter value blinks and is redisplayed (For all vehicles 2003- a general yellow lamp will light when the reset button must be released)
5. Release the button within 4 seconds after it begins to flash
6. There will be an audible signal when the reset is successful
