How to Reset Scion tC Maint Req’d Light For Model Years 2005-2015:

2011-2015

  1. With vehicle ignition switched to ON position, make sure odometer is showing “Tripmeter A”, then turn the ignition switch to OFF position
  2. Push and hold the TRIP reset or MODE button
  3. While holding reset button, switch ignition to ON position
  4. **w/ ENGINE START/STOP button, keep your foot off brake pedal and push ENGINE START/STOP button twice to get Key On/ Engine Off mode

  5. Continue to hold the reset button until the odometer displays “000000” and then the original value is displayed
  6. Turn the vehicle off and back on to confirm reset was accepted

OR

  1. With vehicle ignition switched to ON position, make sure odometer reading is shown, then turn the ignition switch to OFF position
  2. While holding reset button, switch ignition to ON position
  3. **w/ ENGINE START/STOP button, keep your foot off brake pedal and push ENGINE START/STOP button twice to get Key On/ Engine Off mode

  4. Continue to hold the reset button until the odometer displays “000000” and/or the MAINT REQD light goes off
  5. Turn the vehicle off and back on to confirm reset was accepted

2005-2010

  1. On the navigation screen, press SETUP
  2. Then press VEHICLE, then MAINTENANCE
  3. Touch the desired item in which you need to reset (i.e. Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Tire Rotation, etc.)
  4. From here, fill in the requested fields with the new “Next Service” interval (i.e. date and distance till next service is due)
  5. Press OK when complete
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for any other services that were performed

  1. There is not a “navigation screen” for the first generations. I have a 2007 Scion Tc and this was not helpful. Please update to include.

  2. This is completely wrong… you must have it on “odometer” not “trip A” and you must start the car not just turn it to “on” position… it will then flash 0000000 then you are done
