Reset Oil Life Percentage on Pontiac Bonneville After Oil Change

How to Reset Oil Life Percentage on Pontiac Bonneville:

1998-2005

1. Display the “Oil Life Remaining” message in the Driver Information Center
2. Press and hold the SET/RESET button on the Driver Information Center for more than 5 seconds (on vehicles without DIC, use the TRIP reset stem for SET/RESET)
3. The oil life will change to “100%”

1995-1997

1. Display the “Oil Life Remaining” message in the Driver Information Center
2. Press and hold the SET/RESET button (located in the glove box or under passenger side instrument panel) for more than 5 seconds, but no more than 90 seconds
3. The oil life will change to “100%” (or the “Change Oil Soon” light will go off)

1990-1994

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off
2. Press and hold the RESET button until the mileage to service steps down to 0 (mileage will step down in increments of 500)
3. Release the button once the mileage reaches 0
