Reset Change Oil Soon Light on Buick LaCrosse

Reset Change Oil Soon Light on Buick LaCrosse Procedure:

2014-2015

  1. Display the “Oil Life Remaining” message in the Driver Information Center
  2. Press and hold the SET/RESET button on the Driver Information Center for more than 5 seconds (on vehicles without DIC, use the TRIP reset stem for SET/RESET)
  3. The oil life will change to “100%”

2010-2013

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off
  2. Press MENU button on the turn signal lever to scroll through the menu items to get to “Change Engine Oil Soon” OR “Remaining Oil Life” message
  3. Press the SET/CLR button to reset oil life to 100%
  4. Turn the key to the OFF position and back on to confirm reset successful

2006-2009

  1. Press the OPTION button on the DIC until “Engine Oil Monitor” appears on the screen
  2. Press the SET/RESET button to reset the system
  3. The next screen will confirm the “Change Oil Soon” message has been reset
  4. Turn the key to the OFF position and back on to confirm reset successful

2005-2009

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off
  2. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds of turning key
  3. Change Oil lamp will flash for 2-10 seconds while it resets
  4. Once it stops flashing, the maintenance light reset is complete
  5. Turn key to OFF position and then start engine to verify indicator is no longer illuminated
