Mercury Mountaineer Oil Change Required Light Reset Procedure

1. Press and release the SETUP button until “System Check” is displayed
2. Press and release the SETUP button again to display “Oil Life = XXX% Hold Reset = New”
3. Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%

2002-2005

1. Press the SETUP button repeatedly until “Press Reset At Oil Change” message is displayed
2. Press and release the RESET button to display “Hold Reset To Confirm”
3. Press and hold the RESET button to see “Oil Life Set To 100%”

1999-2001

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON position
2. Press and hold the OIL CHANGE RESET button for 5 seconds or until the display shows “Oil Life Reset To 100%”
3. Turn the ignition to OFF position and turn back on to verify reset successful
