Reset VW Jetta Service Due Wrench Light




How To Reset VW Jetta Service Due Wrench Light:

2006-2015:

  1. Turn the key into the ON position
  2. Select the “Settings” menu with the controls located on either the windshield wiper arm or the steering wheel
  3. Select the “Service” submenu and then select the “Reset” option and then press the OK button to reset the display
  4. Press the OK button once more to confirm

OR

  1. With the ignition switched OFF, press and hold the 0.0/ SET button (located on the right side of the instrument cluster)
  2. While holding down, turn the ignition to the ON position
  3. Release the button and briefly press the button for setting the CLOCK (located on the left side of the instrument cluster) once
  4. After a brief period, the display will switch back to the normal display indicating the service interval is reset

2006-2010

  1. With the key out of the ignition, press and hold the 0.0/ WRENCH button (located on the right side of the instrument cluster)
    * If the 0.0 and WRENCH buttons are separate buttons, use the WRENCH button only
  2. While holding the 0.0/ WRENCH button, insert the key and turn the ignition to the ON position (the display will show “Service now!” or the “wrench” symbol will appear)
  3. Release the “0.0/ WRENCH” button and then press the M or MIN (minute) button on the other side of the instrument cluster
  4. The service interval is now reset

2000-2005

  1. Turn ignition to the OFF position
  2. Press and hold the TRIP reset button (next to the speedometer on the instrument cluster) and turn the ignition to the ON position
  3. The display will show “OIL” or “INSP”
  4. Release the TRIP button
  5. Turn the MINUTE knob (next to tachometer on the instrument cluster) until the odometer is reset to zero and then goes back to the normal display
  6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position and the reset is complete

OR

  1. Turn ignition to the OFF position
  2. Press and hold the TRIP reset button (next to the speedometer on the instrument cluster) and turn the ignition to the ON position
  3. The display will show “PROMT SERVICE” or “service INSP”
  4. Release the TRIP button
  5. Turn the MINUTE knob (next to tachometer on the instrument cluster) until the display shows “service —–”
  6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position and the reset is complete

1993-1999

  1. Turn the key into the ON position
  2. Press and hold the TRIP RESET button
  3. While holding the button, turn the key to the OFF position and then release the button
    * The display will show “OEL”
  4. Press and hold the MINUTE RESET (lower button beside the clock) until “——” appears
  5. Then press the TRIP RESET button once to display “IN01”
  6. Repeat step #4 to reset the 6mo reminder
  7. Then press the TRIP RESET button once to display “IN02”
  8. Repeat step #4 to reset the 12mo reminder
  9. Turn key to ON position and then back to OFF and the reset is complete

1990-1992

  1. Volkswagen requires the use of a scan tool to reset the maintenance light
