How To Reset Honda CRV Maintenance Light After an Oil Change:

2012-2015

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position
2. Select “Maintenance Info” using the arrow buttons, then press the SOURCE button
3. Select “Yes” using the +/- buttons, then press SOURCE button
4. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear and the engine oil life will reset to “100”

 

 
OR

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position
2. If the engine oil life is not displayed press the SEL/RESET knob in the instrument panel repeatedly until it is
3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET knob in the instrument panel for about 10 seconds or until the maintenance item code(s) begin to blink
4. Release, then press and hold the SEL/RESET knob for another 5 seconds
5. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear and the engine oil life will reset to “100”

 

 
2007-2011

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position
2. If the engine oil life is not displayed press the Select/Reset knob in the instrument panel repeatedly until it is
3. Press and hold the Select/Reset knob in the instrument panel for more than 10 seconds
4. The “OIL LIFE” and “CANCEL” options will pop up.
5. Select “OIL LIFE” by turning the Select/Reset knob one click to highlight “OIL LIFE”, then press the Select/Reset knob to enter the reset mode
6. The engine oil life and maintenance code(s) will then begin to blink. Hold the Select/Reset knob for 10 more seconds
7. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear and the engine oil life will reset to “100”

1997-2006

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (0) position
2. Press and hold the Select/Reset button(s) in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II) position
3. Hold the button(s) for 10 seconds or until the indicator resets

1997-2001

1. Insert ignition key into appropriate slot on the instrument panel, below indicator flag
2. Flag should turn green
